Grade 7 student, Connor Van Loon, reads an original poem he wrote based on a novel.  Connor wrote his poem in English class and then worked with the language teacher to help with the phrases he wanted in Gwich’in.  Here he is reading his poem to his classmates during a morning circle as a celebration of his accomplishment.  This is an excellent example of both a whole school approach to supporting language learning as well as learning to play with the language.
