Indigenous Languages Month 2026

Indigenous Languages Month 2026 celebrates the many ways Indigenous languages are used every day — at home, in schools, in workplaces, and across our communities. This year’s theme, Languages Work, highlights how language is active, modern, and meaningful. Languages are used to teach, care for others, solve problems, share knowledge, and strengthen relationships.

What’s Inside the Package

This resource is designed as one complete resource that contains all activities, visuals, prompts, and supports for Indigenous Languages Month 2026. Each activity appears as a clearly labeled section within the same deck. Our supporting resources are available in our resource library and each of the links in the list below will bring you directly to that activity.

Teachers may use one activity, a few activities, or the full sequence. Everything is designed to fit easily into your existing classroom routines. Click the links below to download supporting resources and the slide deck.
